New Release!
Edits By Mr. K (digital) Vol. 92
This week along with the usual wide mix of musical genres... a rare occurrence, 2 of my edits simultaneously available digitally, & for the very 1st time on 12" vinyl.
“Marbles” from 1970, a collaboration between guitarist John McLaughlin, along with drummer Buddy Miles, hot off his time with Jimi Hendrix, and producer Alan Douglas (who put together the Band of Gypsys group), also including Blue Note organ player Larry Young. A powerful, deep, driving underground dance rock reminiscent of Velvet Underground & Can. Mesmerizing seven-minute jam!
From a decade later, APB's “Shoot You Down”... guitar heavy, high energy, new wave funk... Danceteria classic.
12" vinyl on Most Excellent Unlimited
Enjoy, Danny :)
