Out of all the compilations I've done, GRASS ROOTS is the best example of musically who I am & where I came from. & out of all the DJ's I've known, TONY SMITH followed the closest path to the same music, & life experiences that shaped who we were. I'm sure I'll be doing a more official tribute to TONY soon enough, but GRASS ROOTS is a terrific example of the music we both shared, including the song that introduced us: YELLOW SUNSHINE.
